MISSION
The SIA Madressa prides itself on the delivery of a quality education to our children for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). The furtherance of our deen remains our sole priority.
BACKGROUND
Commencing with a modest 17 students at inception in 2003, the Madressa roll now exceeds 70, excluding the Saturday class. Currently, the Madressa has a committed and dedicated staff of 3 muallims and 4 muallimas, who utilize the syllabus of the Jamiatul Ulama (Johannesburg). Hifz classes are also provided on the premises.
The Jamiatul Ulama will moderate all examinations on a regular basis to ensure the requisite standard is maintained.

The madressa operates from the musjid premises located at 94 Coleraine Drive, Duxberry, Sandton. Click here for directions to the madressah.
MADRESSAH FEES
The madressa fees are determined annually. The fees payable for the 2012 year is R1000 per term. If siblings are enrolled at the madressa, certain discounts (excluding Grade R) are applicable (click here for 2012 Circular). Fees are payable per term in advance. Saturday classes are also offered at a fee of R250 per month.
MADRESSA TERM AND TIMES
Madressa commences at 15h00 and closes at 17h00 daily – please note these times are applicable all year round (i.e including summer, winter and Ramadaan).
The 2012 4-term Madressa time table coincides with the government school’s terms and holidays:
- Term 1: 18 Jan - 29 March
- Term 2: 10 April - 22 June
- Term 3: 16 July - 28 September
- Term 4: 08 October - 07 December
